Portfolio Details

Provided below are several pre-production details about my short-film that supplement my overall idea and the aesthetic that I am trying to achieve.

Title -

Nostalgia

Logline -

A young woman reminisces on her childhood and the bliss of innocence as she encounters the everyday struggles of all consuming adulthood.

Treatment -

"Nostalgia" is a drama that delves into the life of a young adult and the struggles that come with adulthood. Constantly grappling with the problems of self-identity and maturity, Luna finds comfort in reminiscing her childhood and the innocence that came with it; for when times are hard, she seeks clarity in the past.

Characters -

LUNA CLAIRE (present) is a 23 year old woman. She is delicate featured with a childish nature to her - depicting a lack of maturity and the pressing need to progress. She wears light-toned and subtle clothes, which convey the absence of a strong personal identity.

Overall, the present LUNA is a diffident character with a fear of change.

LUNA CLAIRE (young) is a self-assertive 12 year old. However, her upper body and face are not seen throughout the narrative as she is not a separate character with her own identity, rather she is a distant memory of the present LUNA .

Overall, the young LUNA shows a passion for adventure and change that the present LUNA fears, conveying present LUNA'S longing for innocence and courage.
